Pillows for the Home
An 8 week course
begins May 16th at 9:30.
8 different styles of home décor pillows, you’ll learn
zippers, buttons, ruffles, piping, and more. A great way for a
beginner
to learn to sew. Limited to 8 people, cost
is $80 plus supplies. Use your sewing machine, or you can use one of our
class-room machines.

If you
have never sewn by machine before, or if you would like to improve your
skills, this course is for you.
I hear over and over again, "I would like to learn to sew,
but don't know where to start".
Sew you can start here with me. Cost is $25 plus
supplies. Class limit is 8 people.
Lesson 1 is Saturday June 16th at 1 pm. I will
-
measure you and help you select the right size and
fabric.

explain fabric grain, cross-grain and bias
-
show you how to select, trace and cut out your pattern
pieces
-
take the mystery out of the marks, dots, triangles and
lines on the pattern pieces
-
show you how to pin the pattern to the fabric, cut out
your blouse, and mark the pieces for sewing.
You'll cut out your blouse at home, ready for
Lesson 2 on Saturday June 23 at 1 pm. You'll bring
your sewing machine and

Fuse interfacing to the collar and blouse front
-
you'll use your sewing machine to finish the edges of
the blouse pieces.

you'll complete your blouse with the exception of the
buttonholes and sewing on buttons.

you'll practice making perfect buttonholes (they're
easy) and I'll show you how to sew buttons on by sewing machine.
