Sewing and knitting are often traditions passed from generation to generation and Pine Ridge is no exception.
Established in 1986 in Yvette's basement, a love for sewing which started with Grandma (a fashion designer), has made its way to 3rd generation Laura who took ownership in February 2014. Laura will continue sharing the joy of sewing as it changes from a way to save money to an ideal of sustainability and individuality while Yvette takes longer vacations.
Our store community is what makes us unique. It's not just a store, but a school where new students are warmly welcomed and nobody graduates. Students often drop by for coffee with show and tell or a mini runway show.
And more more more! We're always adding different products so stop in regularly to see what's new.
Like a car, your sewing machines require regular maintenance to remain in optimum sewing condition. A full service at Pine Ridge Knit & Sew involves a good cleaning on the inside and out, proper application of oils and lubricants as required, inspection of all major components for damage and wear, a brand new needle, tension and timing adjustments, and a final stitch test that you can see. Parts cost extra, but the client is always consulted if the value is greater than $10.
A full service will resolve most issues.
