I hear over and over again, "I would like to learn to sew, but don't know where to start".

Sew you can start here with me.  Cost is $25 plus supplies.  Class limit is 8 people.

Lesson 1 is Saturday June 16th at 1 pm.  I will

  • measure you and help you select the right size and fabric.

  • explain fabric grain, cross-grain and bias

  • show you how to select, trace and cut out your pattern pieces

  • take the mystery out of the marks, dots, triangles and lines on the pattern pieces

  • show you how to pin the pattern to the fabric, cut out your blouse, and mark the pieces for sewing.

You'll cut out your blouse at home, ready for

Lesson 2 on Saturday June 23 at 1 pm.  You'll bring your sewing machine and

  • Fuse interfacing to the collar and blouse front

  • you'll use your sewing machine to finish the edges of the blouse pieces.

  • you'll complete your blouse with the exception of the buttonholes and sewing on buttons.

  • you'll practice making perfect buttonholes (they're easy) and I'll show you how to sew buttons on by sewing machine.

Lesson 3 is Saturday June 30 at 1 pm.  You'll

  • Finish your blouse by making those buttonholes and sewing on the buttons.

Please register before May 20 so I can order enough patterns.  email me or phone 613-392-1422
