About us

Pine Ridge Knit and Sew is owned and operated by me, Yvette Matthys. It all began at my kitchen table in 1986, with a knitting machine, some yarn, and a "never say can't" attitude! I remained a home-based business until my youngest child was in school full days, then went store-front in a small plaza north of Cobourg, Ontario. At that time Pine Ridge Knitting Machines was becoming well known in the area for "the" place for supplies, both new and used machines, and inspiration. Lessons and classes kept the place humming. The business continued to thrive and grow, soon sewing, serging and embroidery machines by Husqvarna/Viking & White shared the space with the knitting machines and the name changed to

We're located in the Appledene Plaza, cross-corner from Walmart on Hwy 2, Trenton. (Look for the Subway sign)
