Socks on the LK150 (and Bond)

Size: fits ladies medium

Yarn: Stylecraft DK

Tension: 5.5 stitches and 8 rows to 1 inch. Try TD4 , Bond knitters, use KP2

Cuff:

Cast on 48 stitches in waste yarn.

Knit a few rows, break off.

Pull needles to "D" and e-wrap cast-on with main yarn.

Knit 20 rows.

Drop every second stitch, one at a time, down to the 7th row, and latch up every other bar (tuck rib).

Knit 20 rows, ending with carriage on the right.

Heel:

Set carriage to "hold".

Pull all needles left of "0" to "D". (24 in work)

Short row down to 8 working needles, by pulling the working needle closest to the carriage to hold before each row.

Reverse short-row by pushing to the "forward working position" (C) the holding needle in D, adjacent to the group in "hold" on the opposite side of the carriage, each row until all 24 are back in work.

Your carriage is on the right.

Foot:

Cancel "hold" and knit 44 row on all working needles.

Toe:

Shape toe as you did the heel.

Knit one final row with your main yarn over all needles and remove onto several rows of waste yarn.

Finishing:

With right facing, hang one half of the toe stitches back on the machine.

Fold the sock and hang the corresponding toe stitches onto the same needles.

Set tension to 9, (Bond knitters, use KP4)  knit one loose dribbly row and link off with the latch tool.

Sew side seam invisibly.
