We're having so much fun down here at Pine Ridge's Anniversary sale today that we've decided to extend the celebration for another day! That's right, the one day only, not to be missed event, has just been extended to TWO FULL DAYS OF SEWING & SAVING!
So, it's now called the Pine Ridge Anniversary Two Day Celebrate Snow Sale. February 4th and 5th 2018. All the same savings, all the same fun, but now for 2 WHOLE DAYS! The prices are slipping faster than traffic on the 401! And there's only one EPIC at that slippery price, you'll want to get it quick - that one won't last long.
If you haven't been in lately, it's time to get in here to celebrate snow and sew.

Does your machine skip stitches when working on thick layers? Or worse, does it tell you the seam is too thick and refuses to continue? Find out how to make these thick seams easier on your machine AND YOU in today's demo.
"Of Course", says the unsuspecting shop keep falling into the setup perfectly.
"Here's an ad for Flannels at 5 cents / yard. And here's silk on for 35 cents. Stolen Silks wouldn't be cheaper than these!"
As they were renovating their turn of the century home, they came across a collection of well preserved newspapers dating back as far as 1896. What a great find! I snapped a couple of quick phone pics so I could share them here.
We were doing an EPIC install when the question came up.
Recognize the sewing table? It matched the colour on the walls so perfectly that we can be sure it went to a nice home (they literally have sewing ads in the walls). Have Fun with your new EPIC! And if you do want a price match, you'll have to find an ad no older than 30 DAYS.
That's Emily Baker - Sewing Specialist demonstrating products and techniques from Husqvarna Viking for the 2017 Notion Commotion event at Pine Ridge Knit & Sew. We had a great turnout, a bunch of fun, some snacks, and a whole lot of "Keeping The World Sewing".
And if notions aren't enough commotion for you, we have two new Designer EPIC drivers in our family this week. Congratulations (you know who you are), we know you're going to love your new machines!
Now we all know good things come in threes, so who wants to step up to be the third new EPIC driver this week - sale's still on :)
Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. In preparing for the Pine Ridge Oh Canada Wallhanging, I'd made a point of choosing a fabric with a tight design so the pattern would be clearly visible on the smaller pieces. Simple right? But last night, after quickly cutting the first piece, I took one look at it and...
- wait for it -
Ta Da! No Dots!
Laughed out loud, traced it again, got a little fussy this time, and... way better.
I stumbled onto a website the other day discussing the swarm mathematics of fireflies. Most of it isn't really relevant here, except for the closing quote that I thought described Pine Ridge rather nicely.
"You float along, softly, in silence,
occasionally punctuating the darkness
with a small dot of bright light. By
yourself, there's not much to see.
But whenever you shine, you inspire
those close to you to shine too, a little bit
sooner than they otherwise would have.
And those close to you, in turn, inspire
those close to them.
And so on, and so on.
First, a few small groups start flashing
together. Then, a wave of light sweeps
across the swarm. Finally, you're all
dazzling together, a brilliant beacon, all
in harmony, in tandem – in synchrony.
What small-scale interaction will you
make today, little firefly?"
