Biology of Belief

This might be a little off topic, but it's such a powerful message that I wanted to share it with our colleagues. Laura and I often share a spirited debate on the topic of nature vs nurture. This is a fascinating talk with Bruce Lipton that is both educational and inspirational (22min).

Aunt Joyce, you'll love this guy - he's also into Tapping!

Knitting Patterns and a whole wall of Yarn to Yoodle at

It's hard to believe it's the middle of November out there. But every Canadian knows that old man winter is lurking just around the corner. Surly you'll want to be ready when he gets here, that's why we just brought in a whole new truck load of yarns, and knitting patterns to keep you warm this winter.

We've added some exotic fibers to our collection of natural wools including Merino and Alpacca! An assortment of patterns from James Brett are the perfect companion for those cold winter nights.

Well Done Tabitha!

Tabitha's first quilt!  Made for her beautiful little girl Hannah.  Took her only 3 days to piece this beauty together.  She made a matching pillow as well!

We couldn't be more proud of you! Congratulations, and keep up the great work.

T-shirt memory quilt

Laura's brewing up an exciting class for the new year, a T-shirt memory quilt. Think sport teams, vacation locations, etc.

For the Pine Ridge sample, t-shirts from Quinte West! A huge thanks to Yvonne King at Quinte West for the t-shirt donation :)

New Flannelette Pj's

One of the first things Laura made for me after we met was Pyjamas, and she's been making them for me ever since. Over the years she's perfected the design and tailored them masterfully to my measurements. She cranks them out in no time on her Husqvarna serger.

When this new flannelette showed up recently with Skateboards on it, well the timing couldn't have been better. It's starting to get colder at night, me old ones is getting a little thread bare, and I love skateboarding! Thanks Laura, I love you too :)

Stop by Pine Ridge to check out our buffett of the latest flannelette's just in time for PJ season.

Pamela's T's

“Needed” new T-Shirts and Pamela’s Perfect T-Shirt pattern was just sitting there, minding it’s own business and bam! My Husqvarna serger, a little stay tape and three T-Shirts ready for cover stitch!

Pamela’s Patterns are “designed to fit and flatter women with REAL figures!” They address many common fit issues and even include a separate darted Front piece for women with full busts.

And _of course_ you can get these 3 fabrics at Pine Ridge.
